Boating Adventures

This summer we switched our adventure seeking activities from land based to water based. We sold our camper and fishing boat and purchased a Ranger Tug R27 from Reed Yacht Sales in Racine WI. The idea for this phase was first hatched at a boat show in Chicago in 2017. It was the first time we encountered the Ranger Tug boat line. We were very impressed but knew we had many land excursions we wanted to complete before returning to our boating days. On our way to Alaska in 2019, we stopped at the boat show in Anacortes, WA and again toured the full line of Ranger Tugs. This solidified our desire to eventually own one. When the Coronavirus cancelled our camping trip to the Grand Canyon, we put the plan into motion. We are so excited (and a little nervous) to be returning to water-based adventures. The nervousness comes from being outside of our comfort zone with trailering and launching a big boat. We will need to familiarize ourselves with ocean tides and currents and saltwater fishing techniques. YouTube University will help us with that!
